One of America’s largest cable providers is offering free broadband internet service to students who need to attend online classes because of the coronavirus.
Charter Communications says it will offer free Spectrum broadband internet service and wi-fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students which do not already have Spectrum broadband service.
Charter also plans to open wi-fi hotspots for public use.
Meanwhile, AT&T says it will waive internet data overage fees for customers who have capped data plans.
